My name is Garet Sabogal, and I am excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher!
This is my 12th year of teaching and my 9th year at Hesse. I have been married for 11 years. My husband, Nick, and I have a son, Wilkes, who is 9 years old. He will be in fourth grade at Hesse. We also have a daughter, Emory Claire, who is six and will be in first grade at Hesse. We enjoy boating, being outdoors , being active, and going to college football games. We also enjoy watching Wilkes and Emory Claire grow up and seeing the world though their eyes. I received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, and in 2009, I received a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from Armstrong State University. I am also a gifted certified teacher. My philosophy of education is simple. I believe that the classroom should be a place where students are nurtured while being educated. I think that both respect and learning can take place simultaneously to create an effective classroom. I also understand that each child is different and the teaching methods should vary to ensure each and every child is able to reach their maximum learning potential. I want the students to be excited about coming to school and excited about learning. We are going to have a wonderful year in Kindergarten! |
